Jeremiah 29:11-14:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.

This is my very first large scale work for brass band in whih I used the melodies of "Ellecombe" and "Pilgrims" in a new setting by Yvonne Field. This piece was written for the 125th anniversary of the Salvation Army in Zutphen in June 2016. The Zutphen Corps was my home corps at that time and I would move shortly after this concert and go to another corps, so this is a very special composition for me. For years the corps was in very rough times and the last bars were a message from me to the Corps and the future:

"Jesus shall conquer, lift up the strain!

Evil shall perish and righteousness shall reign"
