This composition has been written for the Dutch National Youth Brass Band of the Salvation Army and this piece was their Concert opener of the 2018-2019 season. The song where this piece is based on is "Stand up for Jesus" of which the first verse says:

"Stand up, stand up for Jesus,

Ye soldiers of the cross;

Lift high his royal banner,

It must not suffer loss.

From victory unto victory

His army shall he lead,

Till every foe is vanquished,

And Christ is Lord indeed"
