This cornet solo was written for Steef Klepke (former Principal cornet Amsterdam Staff Band) for his visit as guest soloist to Lurgan corps (North Ireland) in March 2016. It is an arrangement on John Larsson's "Love Cannot Fail." The lyrics of the final chorus says:

"But I will give the love of God,

The all-embracing love of God.

But I will give the love of God,

Love cannot, love cannot fail!"

This song and cornetsolo will always be a special piece of music for me as Steef Klepke passed away (Promoted to Glory) in June 2022. Unfortunately he lost the fight against cancer. He will be missed!
