It’s the most wonderful time of the year they say.

For the composer it is the most precious time of the year, Christmas!

 

Not because of Santa Claus, Sleigh Bells, good food  and gifts under the christmas tree, but it’s about the birth of Jesus Christ. About 2000 years ago, in a manger, in a stable and in a small town called Bethlehem.

 

In this work you’ll hear a few contemporary christmas songs. Those are  ‘O little town of Bethlehem’, ‘Silent Night’, Deck the hall’ and ‘The First Noël’.

 

This work was originally written for brassband but has been rescored for Wind Band in 2023.
